Sun Dappled Pool Party

Oh it felt so lovely. The 10-year-old Girls Birthday Party. At their Backyard Pool. They were all having so much simple Fun. Just playing around in the pool and being surprised by the Caricatures that I drew. A little bit of Pizza, a few chips.... Birthday Cake....

I was Set Up under a Big Old Tree ~ spreading branches. There was a slight warm breeze. Sun dappling the scene.

All very good, but the sun made patterns on the Photographs. After a while, I came up with a way to hold the Caricatures so it didn't look like sun-patterns, but it was too late for some of the photos. Here are photos of some of the Caricatures that I drew:

Studying is for Students

Getting ready for drawing Caricatures at tomorrow's Party. It will be a Big Wedding. For practice, I used a reference photo from a previous Event where I was drawing Caricatures. Not that there was anything wrong with the one I had drawn That day, but I have to get into it again before each Event.

My first pass was so stiff ~ I feel like studying makes us like students. aka beginners. So I went back to my regular approach ~ and i feel like my recent studies will just make me feeeeeel more comfortable when im doing hair and eyes and stuff.

Here are a few of the Caricatures that I drew at yesterday's Digital Caricature Event. I was in a Penthouse "Club", and it started getting pretty dark near the end of the Event. Didn't bother the Drawing Surface at all. The IPad stays lit up!

......even though it did get difficult to see the person i was drawing. Glad I carried along a decent light ~ even though I had to carry it with me all day in Manhattan. (I did Temporary Glitter Tattoos at a Daytime Event before this Digital Caricature Event). I do whatever I feel like my Party will need.
